A simple Excel spreadsheet
So check out this simple Excel spreadsheet I have here! This is a simple sheet of Homework Tasks which students in my class have to complete. I want my teaching assistant to also be able to simultaneously interact with and edit the data and so I’m going to build an app so that we can do this!
Turning the sheet into an app!
So now let’s transform this Excel spreadsheet into something beautiful! I’m going to head to make.powerapps.com. Then under ‘apps’, I’ll create a new app by starting with data.
From here I’ll select to Upload an Excel file.
Then I’ll upload my Homework Tasks Excel spreadsheet and check out what Power Apps and AI does for me! It’s taken a look at the Excel spreadsheet I had and it’s built a Dataverse table which it will use as a backend to my data.
Now all I need to do is select ‘Create app’. Now check out what AI and Power Apps has built for me! This is just insane! Now I’ve built an app from an Excel spreadsheet with nothing more than a button click to add to it! I can now use the app AI and Power Apps built for me to build on further and produce the tool that me and my colleagues will need! 🤩
