Hello Microsoft community and Scottish Summit 2023 friends! 👏🤩
Well! What a weekend! Scottish Summit has just wrapped up, with lots of friends heading out this evening in Manchester… namely a bunch of awesome people at the ANS after party 😉
So let’s take a look at what went on! I’ve got a billion tweets from the day to look back on as shenanigans evidence 👀
Starting the day with catchups with friends!
So first of all, it was absolutely awesome to see a bunch of friendly faces at the summit with just too many names to tag people in! Thank you so much to all of you in the community who came to the summit and engaged with me and others… this community is simply awesome!
Awesome games with ANS
Then it wasn’t long until we all got playing some awesome games with my friends from ANS! We were so lucky to have had the team bring along some awesome stuff to summit including a retro arcade games machine!
The Great British Make Off with Lewis & Chris
So the next part is pretty funny and awesome. Myself and my friend, Chris Huntingford, during the lunch hour, competed against each other in a Scottish Summit 2023, Great British Make Off, where we were challenged against each other to build a solution with low code digital bricks as fast as we could!
The challenge was to build an app that showed people when their bins were supposed to go out! So… we got building! 🏗️👷♂️
So following some judging… I was lucky enough to be crowned winner of the build off! 💝🤩
It was definitely just a very close win though and personally I reckon Chris built a slightly more awesome solution with… and get ready… responsive design, AI power, BI reporting and more!
HAHA my friend, I’m ready for the rematch! 🤣😁
Session on the things you didn’t know about deep linking in Power Apps and Dynamics 365
So next on the agenda, was me speaking on “The things you didn’t know about deep linking in Power Apps and Dynamics 365”.
This session was super simple, but awesome, and a huge thank you goes to the awesome crew who came along. Thank you all!
All fun ecosystems with Chris Huntingford
So to finish the day off, the incredible Chris Huntingford, Arif, and Steven from ANS gave us an awesome talk covering various things we need to think about when maintaining low code ecosystems from having our data sit correctly, to securing that data properly and handling threats, to surfacing that data in the correct way, utilising various elements of the ecosystem.
Needless to say I, and I’m sure loads of others, learnt loads in this session! Again please!
Thank you
The final thing to say, is an enormous thank you to everyone who was involved in putting the event on today. Organisers, volunteers, speakers, ANS stand organisers, and community friends, thank you so much for making the day so awesome and special as always! Until next time! 💝
